Plastic wax melter with steamer

At the end of the season, when you're surrounded by old frames, darkened combs or bits of cappings, it's time to recover that valuable beeswax. And there's no better ally for the job than a steam wax melter like this one: economical, practical and very easy to use.

It’s designed to melt wax cleanly and efficiently, with no need for direct flame or complex setups. The 5 L electric steam generator heats water to produce pressurised steam, which enters the food-grade plastic container. The steam gently melts the wax from the frames or combs, which flows out through the bottom outlet into the included 2.5 L stainless steel bowl.

It holds up to 14 Langstroth frames or 10 Dadant Blatt brood frames, placed vertically. You can also add cappings, wax blocks, or scraps from uncapping. The tight-fitting lid helps retain heat and improves efficiency.

A key benefit of this system versus flame or water baths is that it doesn’t overheat the wax: steam works at gentler temperatures (100–105 °C), preserving the wax’s colour and properties. The food-grade plastic is durable and easy to clean, and the whole unit weighs just 7 kg.
