PACK

Oxalic acid dihydrate at 99.6 % in a 1 kg pack: a technical cleaning reagent for the apiary and the workshop, not a medicine.

It is used for what it genuinely does outside the hive: taking propolis off equipment, rust off tools and grey off timber. And it is worth reading the notice below first, because almost everyone arrives looking for something else.

⚠ LEGAL NOTICE

Oxalic acid is the active substance of the registered varroa treatments, which is why many people arrive here searching for «oxalic acid for varroa». Plainly: in Spain varroosis may only be treated with veterinary medicines authorised by the AEMPS — such as Api-Bioxal or Varroxal — which carry the acid already formulated, dosed and with an approved route of application. Using technical oxalic acid like this one inside the hive, sublimated, by trickling or in home-made strips, is outside the rules and prohibited. If varroa is your aim, your legal option is in the Hive Health section, not in this pack.

01 · EQUIPMENT AND CLOTHING

Suits and hive tools come back like new

It dissolves propolis stains, residues and ground-in dirt on suits, gloves, veils and tools. It leaves the kit ready for the next inspection without resorting to harsher solvents or ruining technical fabrics — which is what usually happens when people reach for an industrial stain remover.

02 · RUST AND TIMBER

Recovers metal and lightens greyed wood

Through controlled corrosion it removes rust from tools and metal parts and lightens stained or greyed timber on hives, frames and furniture before repainting or varnishing. It is one of the uses buyers rate most. Rinse with water after applying, to fix the result and leave no acid residue on the surface.

03 · HONEY HOUSE AND WORKSHOP

It also polishes stone and helps in wax recycling

It polishes marble and granite, tackles limescale and rust marks on sanitary ware and tiles, and degreases machinery. In wax recycling a rough guide of 150 g per 100 kg is used to carry impurities out and leave the wax looking cleaner before milling — always as work on the material, in the workshop and outside the hive.

⚠ PRECAUTIONS

This is a corrosive acid. Work with gloves, goggles and a mask, avoid breathing the dust and do it in a ventilated area. Keep out of reach of children and away from food. This shop accepts no responsibility for improper use of the product.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

This is a bulk chemical, with no dispenser and no beekeeping application instructions, because it has none. If what you want is to treat varroa, what you need is a registered medicine.

✓ FITSCleaning equipment, tools, timber and the honey house.
✕ DOESN'T FITTreating varroa inside the hive: that calls for an authorised medicine.
⚠ NOT INCLUDEDPPE. Gloves, goggles and a mask are separate, and they are needed.
