Uncapping Tables
Uncapping Tables
An uncapping table is the workhorse at the heart of every honey house. Also sold as an uncapping tank, it gives you a long stainless steel surface to slice the wax cappings off your frames before they go into the extractor. The bench catches the cappings and every drop of drip honey, keeps the work area clean, and lets you uncap frame after frame without stopping to scrape your bench or chase product across the floor. Get the right table and the messiest job of the harvest becomes a steady, controlled rhythm.
Work standing, lose less honey
Uncapping at the correct height, on your feet, changes the whole day in the honey house: less stooping, less fatigue, more frames per hour. A built-in straining screen separates the cappings from the honey as you go, while the honey gate at the base recovers the drip honey that would otherwise be lost in the wax. In a busy season that reclaimed honey can add up to 10% more honey saved per batch. The tray empties easily, and several models add legs, locking castors and a lid for clean storage between harvests.
A steadier base for every uncapping tool
The frame sits firm on its frame rest while you run the uncapping knife, fork or scratcher down the comb, so nothing slips. The repositionable wooden cross bars fit Layens, Dadant Blatt, Dadant US and Langstroth frames, and lengths run from 0.6 to 2 m to match your output. Built in AISI 304 stainless steel, the surface shrugs off the acidity of honey, never taints flavour and wipes down to food-safe clean in seconds.
From sideliner to commercial honey house
The range starts with a compact 60 cm bench, ideal for a first harvest or a handful of hives, and scales up to reinforced 1.25 to 2 m units with castors and even heated versions for full-time honey houses. You will find trusted names like Legroc, LYSON and MINIMA, plus accessories such as heating lids, frame rests and wheel kits. If you are unsure about length or frame compatibility, get in touch and we will match the right table to your operation.
