01 · WHERE THE FRAMES WAIT

The gap in the process nobody solves

Between uncapping and the extractor there is always a queue. With nowhere to put them, those frames go back in the super — dripping — or get laid down somewhere, and that is where honey is lost and the honey house gets sticky.

The upper rack with guides holds them upright and in order, and the tray catches what they shed.

02 · UPRIGHT THEY DRAIN

Lying flat, they do not

A freshly uncapped frame sheds honey from the open cells, but only if gravity can work: upright, the honey runs down the face; flat, it stays in the cell.

It is not a draining method — that is what the sieve is for — it is a few minutes of holding that returns to the system honey that would otherwise end up on the floor.

Measure your bench first

The tray is 500 × 500 mm and is made to sit on uncapping benches and tubs. Check the size of yours before ordering.

The rack comes off, so the tray goes flat for other uses and for cleaning. AISI 304 cleans with hot water and a soft brush, which is what lifts the wax.
