What clings to an empty bucket is more honey than it looks; hung on the perch for a while, it drops into the bucket below instead of down the sink.
01 · HOW IT IS USED
Pour off the bulk first; the perch holds the rest
Pour off the bulk with the bucket in your hands; when it is light, hook the perch on the rim of the lower bucket, rest the upper one upside down on its two hooks and let it drain. Check that both hooks grip the whole rim and that the receiving bucket is level: the perch holds a draining bucket, not a full one, and no load limit is published.
02 · WHICH BUCKETS
The 18 to 21 litre honey buckets, with a rim
It is meant for the usual honey buckets of 18 to 21 litres with a rim at the mouth; on very small buckets or a very different mouth the hooks do not grip. It comes apart for washing and storage and takes up one slot on the shelf.
03 · BEFORE YOU BUY
It is plastic: it does the job and does not mark the bucket. For those who prefer metal, there is no version.
