Stainless steel Double Sieve

When you open the extractor gate and that golden stream starts flowing, it’s always a great moment… until you remember everything it drags with it: wax flakes, tiny crystals, bits of propolis and sometimes even a stray wing. No matter how careful your uncapping is, freshly extracted honey always carries particles. Without proper filtering, they end up in the jars.

With experience you realise filtering isn’t optional – it’s part of producing quality honey. And that’s where a well-built double stainless-steel strainer makes all the difference.

Two-stage filtration: simple and effective
The system works like you would: first catch the coarse material, then refine the rest.

The top mesh, 12 mesh (~1.7 mm), stops wax cappings, larger wax pieces and debris coming straight from the extractor.

The bottom mesh, 25 mesh (~0.7 mm), captures fine particles: micro-wax, undissolved pollen and tiny impurities that otherwise cause sediment or uneven crystallisation.

The result is clean, bright and stable honey, ready to settle and bottle.

Two diameters for different workflows

Ø32 cm: fits ripeners from 32–48 cm and capacities of 100–200 kg. Also ideal for 50-kg buckets and larger batches. Large surface, fast flow.

Ø24 cm: designed for small batches, compact ripeners (24–35 cm) or direct filtering into 25-kg buckets. Lightweight and perfect for fieldwork.

Both offer 65 mm usable height and are built from food-grade SUS304 stainless steel.

A beekeeper’s note
Fine wax and pollen residues act as crystallisation nuclei. Good filtration improves stability, especially in late-season honey or honey with borderline moisture.

Cleaning
Rinse with hot water. If wax sticks, soak 5–10 minutes and brush gently. Dry well.
