Glass Bottles

The bottle solves a problem the jar does not: the product you pour. Mead, honey vinegar, syrups, liqueurs, flavoured oils — everything you do not spoon out.

The two figures to check

TO-48 is the mouth: 48 mm diameter. The cap has to be exactly that size, and if you buy the closure separately that is the number that must match. And 500 ml is the standard direct-sale format: it fits the hand, the shipping box and the price a customer expects to pay for an artisan bottle.

Glass for a product you sell

Glass gives nothing to the contents, takes on no smells and can be sterilised. In a fermented product like mead that is not an aesthetic preference: it is what allows hot filling or pasteurising without the container contributing anything.

The pack of 25 and why it makes sense

It is the quantity of a first run. Enough to test a product at a market or a local shop without committing to a pallet, and enough for the per-bottle cost to be reasonable.

And a practical warning: buy the closure at the same time as the bottle. A bottle with no compatible cap is glass on a shelf.

Jars are in glass jars; other containers in honey packaging.
