Wholesale Twist-off lids

One fact before anything else: the TO number is the mouth diameter in millimetres. TO 82 fits an 82 mm mouth jar, and no other. It is the mistake that generates the most returns in this category.

How to know which you need

Measure the outer diameter of the mouth of the jar you already use, or check the packaging reference. If you buy jar and lid together, check the supplier quotes the same TO. And if you are about to order a box of 430, ask for a sample first: €53.50 in lids that do not close is not recoverable.

Deep skirt and pasteurisable

The deep skirt (H14) grips more thread and closes better on tall jars. And pasteurisable means the sealing compound withstands heat treatment without deforming: if you are hot-filling or pasteurising, it is a requirement, not an upgrade.

Why a lid is not reused

The seal is made by an elastic compound inside the lid that deforms the first time it seals. Reused, it no longer guarantees the vacuum — and a honey jar without an airtight seal takes on moisture and ferments.

Colour sells

Gold and black are the two that work on honey: gold is traditional and black is what gives a premium look on the shelf. It is the cheapest decision you can make about how your product is perceived.

Single lids are in lids and closures; jars in glass jars.
