This honey tank is made of food plastic with a plastic gate in the lower part—a very economical option for storing honey.
Settle, store and bottle for less than the price of a super
If you are starting out or simply need extra storage without stretching the budget, this food-grade plastic settling tank with built-in honey gate covers the essentials: let your honey settle, store it safely and bottle straight from the tap. With an 80 kg capacity and a price tag under 30 €, it is the most straightforward way to manage your crop without investing in stainless steel.
Honey goes in after extraction, rests until air bubbles and wax debris rise to the surface, and once it is clear you bottle directly from the food-grade plastic honey gate at the base. No unnecessary transfers, no extra containers to clean. For apiaries of up to 15–20 hives, 80 kg is plenty to work in batches.
Food-grade plastic may not have the prestige of stainless steel, but it is lightweight, easy to clean and perfectly safe for contact with honey. The real limitation? You cannot heat it to reliquefy crystallised honey as you would with a stainless tank fitted with a heating element. For freshly extracted liquid honey or varieties that crystallise slowly, it does the job. Compatible with the ф 380 mm tank stand for a comfortable working height.
