SAF Natura double honey strainer in stainless steel for staged filtration before settling, with two stacked screens and L-shaped supports that rest on the rim of the settling tank.
The body measures Ø320 × 150 mm, and the manufacturer specifies it for 50–100 kg settling tanks. Check the vessel diameter and rim shape before ordering.
01 · TWO-STAGE STRAINING
The two screens work one above the other. The upper section catches cappings, pieces of wax and other larger debris, while the lower mesh completes the filtration before the honey enters the settling tank. This layout shares the load and lets you remove accumulated material while monitoring the flow.
02 · POSITIONING AND USE
Place the L-shaped supports on a firm rim and make sure the strainer is level before pouring. Feed the honey steadily without completely covering the mesh. If the flow slows, remove the accumulated wax rather than increasing the depth of honey above the screen.
Actual throughput depends on temperature, viscosity and the amount of debris. Colder honey or honey carrying a lot of wax passes more slowly; do not force it through under pressure or scrape the woven mesh.
03 · MESH AND RESULT
The current manufacturer sheet specifies a 1.5 × 1.5 mm woven mesh for reference SN_39/A. The strainer removes visible solids, but bubbles and very fine particles are managed by leaving the honey to settle afterwards. The final appearance also depends on uncapping, line cleanliness and settling time.
04 · CLEANING
Separate the two sections, remove wax residues first and wash with process-suitable water and a cleaner intended for food-contact equipment. Avoid hard scourers, wires or knocks that could deform the mesh. Rinse thoroughly, allow it to drain and store only when completely dry.
05 · BEFORE YOU BUY
The unit is designed for 50–100 kg settling tanks, but capacity alone does not guarantee compatibility with every vessel. Check that the 320 mm diameter fits the intended position and that the L-shaped supports can sit without obstruction. The double strainer is supplied; the settling tank and other vessels are not included.
