Details of Electric Uncapping Knife 12V battery

Uncapping cold is twice the work: the blade sticks and tears the comb. This heated knife keeps the blade warm and slides it cleanly under the cappings. Its big plus: it runs on 12 V with clamps, so you uncap right at the apiary with no mains —made for those who extract in the field, typical in Layens beekeeping.

🔌 12 V with clamps: uncap where you extract

The cable ends in two crocodile clamps you connect to any 12 V source: a battery (car or tractor), a 220/12 V generator or a 12 V charger. With no mains needed, you set up the uncapping bench next to the hives. The 12 V source is not included.

🔪 25 cm stainless steel blade

Reinforced 25 cm stainless steel blade and wooden handle that insulates from the heat and grips well. The heat softens the wax and the blade glides under the cappings with a clean cut, without pulling out honey or tearing the comb. Work with the blade warm, not red-hot: too much heat darkens the wax and the honey at the cut.
