Manual uncapping comb with stainless steel tines, available in straight or curved versions. It allows you to open the caps on an entire frame and, above all, to reach the recessed cells, corners and irregular areas that a knife or uncapping machine cannot reach on the first pass.
Simply insert the tip under the cap and lift with a short movement. This opens the cell without removing more wax than necessary. It is particularly useful when the surface of the comb is not level with the frame top bar or when you want to go over the area again after using a knife.
The curved tines have a built-in angle and allow you to work with the handle held slightly higher. The straight follow the same plane as the handle and leave the angle to be determined by the wrist. Both are suitable for uncapping; the choice depends on your working style, not on one being universally better than the other.
Remove the caps and honey when finished, wash the tines and dry them before storing. Do not force a bent tine against the comb: straighten it first or replace the tool.
