Thick honeys like heather, chestnut or honeydew cling to the cells even after uncapping — their viscosity defeats the centrifuge alone. The spiked roller pierces every cell as you roll it across the frame, breaking surface tension without stripping the wax. The result: your extractor actually clears the comb, even at moderate speeds. It also reaches the concave areas of the comb that your uncapping knife glides over without cutting.

Stainless steel and oak — built to last season after season

The spikes and roller head are made from AISI 430 stainless steel, resistant to corrosion from prolonged contact with honey and wax. The varnished oak handle gives a firm, comfortable grip even with propolis-sticky hands. 03 · USE

When to use it (and when you don't need it)

If you work mostly with free-flowing honeys (oil seed rape, lime blossom, wildflower), a good uncapping knife is all you need. Where this roller earns its keep is with thick honeys, frames with uneven comb that the knife misses, or as an extra pass before loading the extractor to make sure not a single cell stays sealed. Use it with gentle pressure — let the spikes do the work.
