4-in-1 unit to separate honey and wax, melt cappings, decrystallise and use as an uncapping bench. Stainless steel construction, dual heating and precise control. Not compatible with Layens frames.
When you walk into the honey house and see buckets of crystallised honey, dripping cappings and old combs waiting to be melted, you appreciate having one machine that can handle it all. This LYSON unit is not just an uncapping table: it’s your all-in-one tool to separate honey and wax, melt cappings, decrystallise honey in buckets or jars, and preheat dense frames. Less handling, less loss, more efficiency every season.
Low-temperature honey and cappings separation. Its star feature. Works in 4–5 h cycles at the optimal 40–50 °C range, letting honey drain cleanly through the perforated basket while the cappings remain intact. This prevents HMF increase and preserves aroma and quality. Ideal for overnight processing so the honey is ready to jar the next morning.
Controlled heating, melting and decrystallisation. The 2000 W heated lid, supported by a 30 W fan, delivers fast, even heat; the 170 W heated base provides gentle, consistent warmth, perfect for low-temp separation or decrystallising honey in containers. In heather or eucalyptus honey, where viscosity is high, preheating frames makes extraction far easier.
High-temperature melting when required. At above 65 °C, you can melt cappings with honey and separate by decantation. This is useful for recycling combs, cappings or old frames; note that honey will increase in HMF and won’t be suitable for premium bottling.
Designed for the honey house. The perforated basket drains quickly; the trapezoidal bottom directs all content to the outlet; the gas-spring-assisted lid opens and closes safely; and the castor wheels make moving the unit effortless. Simple controls: mechanical thermostat for the lid and digital MHC-01 thermostat for the base.
Practical details
• Acid-resistant stainless steel construction for hygiene and durability.
• Stainless steel 6/4” guillotine valve (~40 mm) for clean draining.
• Adjustable inner bar to suit different frame sizes and use as an uncapping bench.
• In lavender or rosemary harvests, drain cappings at 40–45 °C to reduce final moisture and improve later filtering.
Integrated technical specifications
• Power supply: 230 V (single phase). Total power: 2.3 kW (lid 2000 W + base 170 W + fan 30 W).
• Heating from lid and base; walls are unheated to prevent overheating.
• Internal dimensions: 1000 × 505 mm; internal height 425 mm (sides) / 475 mm (centre) for improved drainage.
• Total height (without lid): 860 mm, comfortable for working standing.
• Slight slope towards the centre for complete drainage.
• Mobility: heavy-duty caster wheels.
Frame compatibility. Adjustable bar to fit most frame sizes. Not compatible with Layens frames (365 × 400 mm).
If you want a versatile unit to extract more clean honey from cappings, recover quality wax and manage crystallisation without multiplying equipment, this 1000 mm multifunction machine is the ally you’ve been waiting for.
