Five lines, and choosing the line is most of the decision

LYSON does not sell one extractor: it sells the same extractor across several lines, and the line name is the only thing telling you which one you are looking at. A 42-frame radial is €1,321 in BASIC and €1,517 in OPTIMA. A 6-frame reversible jumps from €1,569 in BASIC to €2,479 in CLASSIC. Same capacity, different machine. From smallest up: MINIMA, BASIC, OPTIMA, CLASSIC and PREMIUM.

The real ladder: how many frames you handle by hand

  • Manual tangential (BASIC, €207–320): the frame sits edge-on, you spin one side, stop, and turn it over yourself. For 10 or 15 hives this is enough and there is nothing to break.
  • Radial (MINIMA 20 frames €448–574; BASIC 42 frames €1,321; OPTIMA 42 frames €1,517): frames sit like spokes and both sides empty at once. You never touch a frame mid-cycle. Slower per batch, but you do not stop.
  • Reversible (BASIC 4 and 6 frames, €1,363–1,569; CLASSIC 6/12, 8/16 and 12/24, €2,479–3,876): the baskets turn themselves, so you get tangential speed without handling. This is the step you feel when you extract several times a season.
  • Full line (PREMIUM, from €24,376): uncapper, cappings conveyor and extractor chained together. At this point you are not buying a machine, you are building a honey house.

How to choose without over- or under-buying

The number that matters is not how many hives you keep, it is how many frames you push through the extractor on one extraction day. One afternoon a year and MINIMA or the BASIC tangential is plenty. Three or four extractions a season and wanting to finish the same day, and the CLASSIC reversible pays for itself in working days. And watch the stated capacity: "6 frames" is not the same in Dadant, Langstroth or shallow supers, so check the format before the number.

Official distributor: what that means on a machine at this price

LYSON does not sell direct to beekeepers: it works through official distributors, and we are one of them in Spain, listed on their distributor map. That is not a badge, it is four concrete things. Manufacturer warranty handled here, not argued out with Poland in another language. Spare parts for what actually wears: belts from €7.60, bushings from €9.91, replacement motors from €40, controllers and heating elements. Service, because we know which part fits which model. And stock on hand across 135 references: extraction machinery runs three weeks a year, and an €8 part that takes two weeks costs you the harvest.
