FS19 MODEL | 19 CM CANDLE HEIGHT |
≈250 G WAX | 3×10 LYSON WICK |
Lyson FS19 split silicone mould for casting a three-dimensional Christmas tree candle with stars. The finished candle measures approximately 19 × 8.5 × 6 cm and uses about 250 g of wax, so a 500 g pack provides a nominal two pours once normal process losses are allowed for.
The reference, EAN and shape agree across Lyson's official catalogue, the purchase invoice and LTA's images. The 19 cm figure is the height of the finished casting; the mould itself is 21 cm high. Lyson recommends a 3×10 wick, but this is a starting specification that still needs checking with the actual wax and additives.
01 · RESULT AND DIMENSIONS
FS19 produces a conical, freestanding piece with an approximate 8.5 × 6 cm base. The 250 g wax figure is indicative and can change with wax density, fill level and base finishing. Separating the mould's external height —21 cm— from the usable candle height —19 cm— helps avoid mistakes when cutting the wick, choosing a melting vessel or planning the finished packaging.
02 · SET-UP AND POUR
Feed a wick longer than the mould through its centre, hold it under light tension with a toothpick or wick bar, and close the mould split evenly with rubber bands or string. A light coat of silicone release agent may be used to ease removal. Pour slowly so wax reaches the relief, then allow it to cool fully before removing the ties and opening the mould. Protect against hot-wax splashes and do not use sharp tools inside the cavity.
03 · WAX, WICK AND TESTING
Follow the wax supplier's melting and pouring range: Lyson's own page gives different general temperatures, and no single value suits every formulation. Wax type, fragrance and colourant all change how fuel reaches the flame; use candle-grade additives and test the finished candle before repeating a batch. Avoid pigments not intended for burning and dry decorative inclusions near the wick, as they can obstruct it or disturb the flame.
04 · BEFORE YOU BUY
One FS19 mould is supplied. Wax, wick, bands, wick holder and release spray are separate. Before lighting, trim the wick to about 6 mm, place the candle on a stable heat-resistant surface away from draughts and combustible materials, and never leave it unattended. If candles will be sold, test the formulation and every change of wax, wick, dye or fragrance; the mould alone does not establish conformity with EN 15493.
