Details of Candle mould - Bee 7cm

Silicone rubber mould for making a low-profile candle shaped like a bee, with relief detail on its wings and body. According to Holtermann, the finished piece measures approximately 7 × 2.5 cm and uses around 30 g of wax.

For pure beeswax, the manufacturer recommends a No. 7 wick. This is a starting point for this geometry: wax type, dyes, fragrances and process can alter burning, so each formulation must be validated with a trial candle.

01 · CENTRED WICK

No. 7 is a recommendation, not a universal guarantee

Thread the wick along the intended path, keep it straight and secure it centrally before pouring. Use No. 7 as the manufacturer’s initial reference for pure beeswax and leave enough length for finishing. If you change the wax, pigment, fragrance or additive, repeat the burn test and check flame, smoke, stability and melt pool over full cycles.

02 · CLOSING THE MOULD

Join the opening without distorting the outline

Work with the inside clean and completely dry. Bring the edges of the opening together and support the perimeter evenly with suitable bands or braces so the wax cannot open the seam. Set the mould down level and stable; excessive pressure may distort the wings or move the wick off centre.

03 · CONTROLLED POUR

Fill slowly to preserve the detail

Melt and prepare the wax at the temperature specified by its supplier, avoiding water, debris and overheating. Pour continuously and slowly so that it reaches the bee relief without trapping air. Keep a small amount in reserve in case shrinkage during cooling requires topping up the entry point.

04 · COOLING AND RELEASE

Open the silicone only when the candle is firm

Leave the piece to set completely without moving the mould. Remove the supports, separate the opening gradually and flex the silicone around the wings and legs without pulling the wick. Afterwards, wash the inside with warm water, a little washing-up liquid and a soft brush; dry fully and store the mould flat, without folding it or stacking weight on it.

05 · BEFORE YOU BUY

The mould is supplied; the sample candle is illustrative

The item is a mould for a bee approximately 7 cm wide and 2.5 cm high. Wax, wick, dyes, fragrances and melting tools are not part of the mould. The stated 30 g of wax is approximate and may vary with the wax and fill level.
