Silicone mold for a cylindrical candle with honeycomb cells in relief — pure apiary motif. 16 cm tall, 5.5 cm diameter, capacity ≈ 315 g of beeswax. Recommended wick 3×16. Flexible heat-resistant silicone. Ideal for beekeepers selling surplus wax as candles with their own brand identity: craft markets, beekeeping fairs, farm shops.
Honeycomb-cell cylinder — the candle that tells your brand story before you even light it.
When you sell beeswax in candle form, design is the sales argument. A plain cylinder is nice but anonymous; a cylinder with honeycomb cells in relief tells the story before the customer reads the label. This silicone mold is built for beekeepers who want to turn surplus wax into a candle with a genuine apiary identity —not a generic decorative piece—, with long burn autonomy and a format big enough to be a centrepiece or a premium gift.
Mold 16 cm tall × 5.5 cm diameter. Wax capacity: ~315 g per candle, recommended wick 3×16. Estimated burn time: ~45-55 hours lit (≈1 hour per 6-7 g of beeswax consumed). One kilo of surplus wax makes 3 large candles; 5 kilos, 15 pieces ready for market or shop. Flexible, heat-resistant silicone that keeps the honeycomb relief sharp through hundreds of casts.
Beeswax melts at 62-65 °C. For a 315 g cylinder: melt the wax at 70-75 °C (slightly hotter than for small candles because the mold holds more mass), centre the 3×16 wick with a toothpick at the top, close with perimeter rubber bands and pour in a slow stream. Let cool 8-12 hours (a large candle sets slower) and demold gently. Absolute maximum melt temperature: 85 °C —above that the wax loses aroma and can yellow unnecessarily.
This format works as a centrepiece at craft markets, beekeeping fairs and your own shop where the pitch is "candle made with wax from my own hives". Typical ranges: 15-25 € per unit in pure beeswax, depending on channel and whether it ships with your own label, certifications or apiary story. It's also the kind of candle you can sell to gourmet stores, local-product shops or eco-boutiques on consignment. Beeswax flames burn at ~1093 °C, no black smoke or soot, with negative-ion emission —direct arguments over paraffin that are worth having ready in face-to-face selling.
