Silicone mould for a candle of a seated teddy bear hugging a heart, 6.4 cm tall and taking about 41 g of wax.
A small figure with a textured coat that gives about 24 candles per kilo of wax: the right size for gifts, weddings or market stalls.
01 · WAX AND WICK
According to the LYSON catalogue, the bear is 6.4 cm tall by 5.2 cm wide and takes about 41 g of wax, so a kilo gives some 24 candles. The recommended wick is the 3×8. In a figure with arms and ears the cross-section is not constant: take it as a starting point and burn the first candle before you make the batch.
02 · POURING AND UNMOULDING
It is a mould with a side slit: before pouring, close it with rubber bands so the wax does not escape through the join. Pour the wax at 70-75 °C, because any cooler it will not get into the fur relief, and above 85 °C it darkens. Unmould only once the piece is completely cold, opening the slit carefully so as not to damage the ears.
03 · BEFORE YOU BUY
Neither wax nor wick is included, and a mould used with wax does not go back to the kitchen: LYSON does not intend it for food.
