Details of Silicone release spray POLSILFORM® 400 ml

A plain silicone mould lets the candle go without help. The spray earns its place on figured moulds with fine detail.

Silicone-oil release spray, solvent free, in a 400 ml aerosol, colourless and odourless. Made by Silikony Polskie, in Poland.

01 · WHAT IT DOES

A film, not a reaction

It leaves a very thin film of silicone oil between the wax and the mould: a film that stops the wax gripping in the recesses, so the candle comes out whole instead of leaving a petal behind.

That same film cuts the friction when you unmould, and that extends the life of the mould — silicone fails by tearing, not by use.

02 · HOW TO APPLY IT

A little, from a distance

Shake the can and spray from 20-30 cm onto the inside of the mould, before pouring. It dries in seconds and leaves no visible residue, not even on white candles.

It works with beeswax, vegetable wax, blends and paraffin, and with silicone, plastic or rubber moulds. Like any aerosol, use it in a ventilated place and away from a flame.

03 · A WORD ABOUT THE WAX

What is left over is no longer clean wax

Worth keeping in mind in a beekeeping workshop: the wax left in a treated mould carries silicone with it. Keep it for candles and do not return it to the foundation cycle or mix it with wax you intend to sell as pure.
