Details of Set 7 coloring paints for wax candles

Set of seven liquid dyes designed to be mixed into molten wax before moulding candles or figures. Each bottle contains 10 ml, allowing you to develop anything from soft shades to stronger colours by adjusting the amount in a controlled test.

The set contains pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue and dark grey. The final colour depends on the starting wax: the natural yellow of beeswax affects the result and will not reproduce a shade in the same way as a white base.

01 · COLOUR THROUGHOUT THE WAX

Mix into molten wax; this is not a surface paint

Shake the bottle before use, then add the dye gradually while stirring the wax. Even mixing helps prevent streaks and areas of different intensity. Do not brush this liquid onto a finished candle as paint: it is intended to colour the wax blend before pouring.

02 · MAKE A SMALL TEST

Judge the shade after the wax has solidified

Start with a small quantity of wax, add the dye little by little and place a drop on a cold surface to see the actual shade. Molten wax often looks different once cool. To repeat a colour, weigh the wax, record the amount of dye and keep the same wax, wick and process combination.

03 · BURN TEST

Colour is part of the candle formulation

Before producing a batch, make a trial candle with the final wax, dye concentration and wick. Check ignition, flame stability, melt pool and smoke over complete burn cycles. Do not assume a wick is suitable simply because it worked in the same wax without dye or at a different concentration.

04 · CLEAN WORKING

Protect the bench and avoid contaminating the bottles

Handle hot wax with suitable protection, good ventilation and away from flames or water sources. Keep the droppers clean, do not swap caps and close every bottle after dosing. Avoid contact with eyes and skin, and do not use the product for food, cosmetics or any purpose not authorised on its packaging.

05 · BEFORE YOU BUY

Seven colours; the final intensity is not predetermined

The colours can be blended, but the set does not guarantee an exact colour chart: the starting wax, amount used and thickness of the piece all affect the result. Seven bottles of liquid wax dye are supplied. Wax, moulds, wicks and melting equipment are not included.
