Details of Stainless steel honey honey tank 30 kg with tap, lid and handles

The honey honey tank sits between the extractor and the jar — it is where the honey settles, releases trapped air and ends up clean and ready to bottle.

Cylindrical honey honey tank in stainless steel with 30 kg nominal capacity — a format aimed at beekeepers producing up to 1,000 kg per season who want serious gear without jumping to large-volume tanks. Honey straight from the extractor carries trapped air bubbles, wax debris and fine particles. All of that separates by flotation while the honey rests in the honey tank and is removed before bottling, leaving the honey visually clean, with no white foam layer on the jar surface that so many customers wrongly read as adulteration.

Settling: the step that turns cloudy honey into clear honey

Fill the honey tank with the freshly extracted honey and let it rest 3 to 7 days depending on viscosity. Runny honeys (acacia, spring multiflower) settle in 3 days; thick honeys (heather, eucalyptus, holm oak) need 5-7 days at warm room temperature. Wax, foam and microparticles float to the top; the heavier impurities sink to the bottom. A pass with a skimmer removes the surface layer before bottling through the bottom tap, and the honey reaches the jar with proper retail appearance with no further fine filtering.

Food-grade stainless steel with no odour transfer

Unlike plastic honey tanks, stainless steel does not absorb odours between harvests — eucalyptus, heather and rosemary can run through the same vessel without flavour cross-contamination. It does not react to honey's natural acidity (pH 3.5 to 4.5) and does not cloud over the years. It accepts cleaning with water at 60-80 °C without warping, where plastic softens. Meets European food contact regulations with no restrictions. Practical lifespan: indefinite with minimal care.

Lid with 3 latches, folding handles and nº 40 tap

Flat stainless lid with central knob, secured to the body by 3 lever-action latches around the rim — airtight closure against dust, insects and wax moth during settling and storage. The 3 folding handles with plastic grip sit flush against the body when not in use (no bulk in the wash area) and unfold to lift the honey tank when loaded — a full honey tank is around 37 kg, manageable between two people. Guillotine-type nº 40 tap fitted at the base — one stroke opens or closes full flow with no drip, ideal for filling 250 g to 1 kg jars without pauses.
