- To order
Professional device for cleaning up to 70 kg/h of harvested pollen, removing impurities and improving preservation. Ideal for medium to large-scale beekeeping operations.
LYSON CLASSIC pollen cleaner: vibrating screening and adjustable suction, up to 70 kg/h and with both meshes included, 4×4 and 1×1 mm.
It brings both meshes, and that is its real advantage. The 4 × 4 mm one does the quick clean and the 1 × 1 mm one the fine refining, the kind asked for in premium sales or export. Screen tilt, vibration speed and discharge opening are all adjustable.
01 · THE HOPPER LASTS TWO AND A HALF MINUTES
The feed hopper holds 2.8 kg and the machine cleans 70 kg an hour. Do the sum and a full hopper empties in two and a half minutes: someone has to be reloading almost without pause.
That does not disqualify it — it cleans well and brings both meshes — but you should know it. If you are cleaning fifty kilos in one go, that is nearly twenty reloads.
02 · FOR €90 MORE, TWENTY MINUTES
The same maker has a cleaner with a 45-litre hopper — about 25 kg — for ninety euros more. You go from two and a half minutes of autonomy to nearly twenty, and from a 67 W fan to a 1,650 W dust separator.
In exchange, that one comes with the 4 × 4 mesh only. So the choice is concrete: if you need the 1 × 1 mm refining, this one; if what you need is not to be reloading, the other.
03 · TWO MESHES: 4×4 AND 1×1
The order that works is the 4 × 4 first, taking out wax, plant debris and bee fragments; and then, if needed, a second pass with the 1 × 1 mm of 0.5 mm wire.
That extra refining makes sense above all with pollens from light flows such as heather or viper's bugloss, and when the destination is premium sale or export. For your own use, the first pass is usually enough.
04 · ALWAYS WITH DRY POLLEN
It takes pollen that is already dry, below 8 % moisture. Drying is the previous step, done below 40 °C, and it is a dryer's job — another machine and another price.
Consumption is minimal — 90 W the main motor, 67 the fan and 10 the vibrator — and it weighs 47 kg. Suction is set with a manual potentiometer, which is how you tune it to the type of pollen.
05 · BEFORE YOU BUY
Decide what matters more: the fine refining or the autonomy.
| ✓ A GOOD FIT | Fine refining for premium sale: includes a 1 × 1 mm mesh as well as the 4 × 4. |
| ⚠ A 2.8 KG HOPPER | At 70 kg/h it empties in two and a half minutes. You will be reloading. |
| ✕ IT DOES NOT DRY THE POLLEN | It works with pollen below 8 % moisture. Drying needs a separate dryer. |
