01 · 4 MM ON TOP, 0.5 BELOW

The pollen stays in the middle and everything else goes

The pollen falls through the top hopper and passes two interchangeable screens: the 4 mm one holds above whatever is bigger than the pellet — wax, plant debris, legs and wings — and the 0.5 mm one drops the fine dust below.

Between the two the pollen stays, and the three fans carry off whatever weighs less than it. Three criteria working at once: size above, size below and weight.

02 · EACH POLLEN WANTS ANOTHER BLOW

And that is why the control is independent

The drive motor and the fans are controlled separately and steplessly. It is not a luxury: pollen from rockrose, heather or viper's bugloss has neither the granulometry nor the density of rape or sunflower, and on the same blast one cleans badly and the other flies away.

That adjustment is the whole handling of the machine. You find the point with the harvest in front of you and note it down for next year.

03 · IT BLOWS: NO WATER, NO HEAT

And that is what preserves the pellet

Cleaning is completely dry: no water and no temperature, so the pollen is neither rehydrated nor altered. The pellets are not touched or rubbed, only blown around.

And it works even when the pollen comes in dirty from the trap, which is normal when the trap has been in for days and it has rained.

04 · 130 KG/H AND 190 KILOS

This is already industrial scale

At 130 kg/h it is almost double the bench cleaners from the same maker. But it is also 190 kg of machine and 1.87 m tall: you need the room and the floor.

The frame is steel with thermoset epoxy paint and everything that touches the pollen is food-grade stainless. The screens are reinforced, come out without tools and wash; the whole unit folds open for access inside.

05 · BUT THE POLLEN ARRIVES DRY

And that previous step is the one that rules

This machine cleans; it does not dry. Pollen comes in already dry, and drying happens beforehand, below 40 °C, in a dryer that is separate equipment.

And there is the real bottleneck: drying takes hours and cleaning takes minutes. At 130 kg/h, this machine eats in half an hour what a large dryer needs a whole night to get ready. Size the dryer first.
