When a honey extractor is running flat out during the season, the top lid is one of the first parts to suffer: a knock while loading frames, a twist during cleaning or a fall, and the acrylic cracks. The mouth of the drum is closed by two semicircular half-lids —a front one and a rear one—, so you rarely need to change both: just replace the damaged half.
⚠️ Sold individually, not as a set
Each reference is a single half-lid. You choose the one you need —front or rear— in your diameter. If only the rear one has broken, you buy just the rear half in your size; there is no need to take both.
Select the lid by your drum diameter (Ø500, Ø600 or Ø650 mm) and by position, front or rear. On the Ø500 mm both halves are identical, so a single option covers either position. On Ø600 and Ø650 mm the design of each half differs slightly (the shaft cut-outs and fixing points vary), so check whether the broken one is the front or the rear before ordering. If in doubt, measure the original lid edge to edge or check the equipment's identification plate.
A genuine LYSON part, made from the same acrylic, design and thickness as the original: it fits without play and keeps the honey visible while spinning. It is supplied without fittings or hinges, designed to replace the broken half-lid by reusing the hardware from the old one, without replacing the whole assembly.
Acrylic stands up well to daily use, but not to sharp knocks or twisting. Fit and remove it without forcing, rest it on a clean surface when washing, and avoid dragging it across the steel drum so it does not get scratched.
