01 · THE SIZE
Measure the drum, not the old lid
The four sizes are not interchangeable, and a broken lid rarely keeps its original measurement. Measure the inner diameter of the drum mouth with a tape and choose from that: the set of two halves covers the whole mouth.
02 · WHY TWO HALVES
You open one half and the other stays put
A split cover lets you put frames in and take them out by lifting one half only, with the other in place. You work faster and splash less around the extractor.
Polycarbonate is light, takes a knock and is transparent: you watch the spin and the state of the honey without uncovering, with the machine closed and clean while it works.
03 · BEFORE YOU BUY
Only lift the lid with the rotor stopped. Polycarbonate scratches with a metal scourer: warm water and a cloth, and it stays clear.
