Which is why the buffer makes sense

The bottleneck in a small honey house is rarely the extractor: it is the gap between uncapping and loading. With this carousel, whoever uncaps does not wait for the drum to finish, and whoever loads has the next frame to hand with one turn.

If all you want is for them to drain, our range has a lid with a support for draining frames at €47.11. It does that and nothing else. The €676.86 here buy capacity, mobility and the recovery of the honey that drips.

02 · MEASURE WHAT GOES UNDER: 560 MM

The check that saves the most returns

The drip goes to a central tank that empties through a 5/4 ball valve — five quarters of an inch, that is an inch and a quarter, 32 mm — and that valve sits 560 mm off the floor.

A honey bucket fits under there standing up, but a tall settling tank does not. Measure what you will put underneath before ordering: if your settling tank does not go under, you will be emptying into a bucket and transferring again — exactly the step you wanted to remove.

03 · LANGSTROTH AND DADANT, NOT LAYENS

At least not on the maker's list

The top bar adjusts with two quick-set levers, and the maker lists Langstroth, Dadant Blatt and half supers. The Layens frame does not appear among the accepted formats.

Since the basket's usable depth is not published, we neither confirm nor rule it out: if you work Layens, tell us and we will check with the factory before you order anything.

04 · IT MOVES, AND THAT MATTERS

Because the right spot changes with the day

It is 39 kg on four solid braked wheels, so you put it where it is needed and lock it. Ø 985 mm overall with a Ø 900 mm carousel, and 1,520 mm tall: measure the honey-house doorway too.

All stainless steel, with a laser-cut basket: no welds for honey to collect in at the corners, and surfaces you can rinse down at the end of the day.
