01 · WHAT IT DOES

Bearing below, seal around

It sits in the bottom of the drum and carries the rotation of the central shaft. The Ø8 mm steel ball acts as the friction bearing: it is what lets the shaft turn smoothly instead of rubbing on the bottom.

And it does a second job that gets forgotten: it carries a rubber gasket on the flange, so it also seals the bottom hole. If your extractor leaks honey from below, this is the first suspect.

02 · WHEN TO REPLACE IT

Noise, vibration or dripping

You hear it before you see it: the shaft starts to rub, vibrate or be hard to start. Leaving it like that loads the motor and punishes the bottom of the drum.

The change takes under ten minutes: take out the basket, remove the old one, fit the new one with its ball inside and secure it with the screw and the M8 nut from underneath.

03 · THE DIMENSIONS

Check them before ordering

It is for a Ø15 mm shaft and a bottom hole of Ø8 to 10 mm, the dimensions of the MINIMA and BASIC line. If your extractor is another brand or another shaft diameter, it will not fit.
