Professional device for cleaning up to 80 kg/h of dried pollen through vibration and suction. Robust stainless steel construction. Ideal for medium and large apiaries.
Vibrating pollen cleaner with a 45-litre hopper: separates on a 4 × 4 mm mesh by vibration and draws off the dust, up to 80 kg an hour.
It cleans dry pollen. Drying it is the previous step and a different machine. Pollen comes into this machine already dry, below 8 % moisture. What it does here is take out the wax, plant debris and dust it brings from the field, combining vibration and suction. AISI 304 stainless body.
01 · DRY FIRST, THEN CLEAN
Pollen leaves the trap at 20-30 % moisture and has to come down to 6-8 % first, dried below 40 °C so as not to spoil it. That step takes hours and is done by a dryer, which in our range starts at a little over eighty euros.
This cleaner does 80 kg an hour. A full load of a ten-tray dryer is fifteen or twenty kilos, so it cleans in a quarter of an hour. The bottleneck is always the dryer, never the cleaner.
02 · IT VIBRATES AND IT SUCKS
The vibration moves the pollen over a woven 4 × 4 mm mesh and separates by size whatever does not pass. The suction of the dust separator takes away whatever is lighter than the pellet: dust, husk and fragments.
They are two independent criteria — size and weight — and that is why the result is cleaner than with a sieve alone. The vibrating motor is continuously adjustable, which is how you match it to the type of pollen.
03 · 45 LITRES IS ABOUT 25 KILOS
Dry pollen weighs around half a kilo per litre, so a full hopper is about 25 kg. At 80 kg/h that gives a little under twenty minutes of autonomy per load. It is an estimate, not a maker's figure, but it tells you how often you have to come back.
The outlet is a Ø 50 mm channel with an adjustable gate, to meter the fall into the bucket. The bucket is not included.
04 · 1,650 WATTS IS THE SUCTION
Nearly all the consumption is in the dust separator: 1,650 W against the 50 W of the vibrating motor. Even so the total is around a kilowatt and three quarters, so it runs off an ordinary 230 V socket.
It measures 1,200 mm tall, 510 wide and 710 deep and weighs 66 kg. The LYSON range has cleaners above and below this one; tell us how much pollen you harvest a year and we will tell you which is yours.
05 · BEFORE YOU BUY
If you do not have a dryer yet, that is the first machine.
