Gas Wax Melter 200 L

This wax melter is designed to safely and efficiently melt old frames, combs and cappings using a water bath system. The lower chamber is filled with water, and when heated with the included gas burner, it generates the heat needed to gently melt the wax without exposing it to direct flame. This prevents overheating or burning the wax and ensures a clean, controlled process.

Inside, there is a perforated stainless steel basket where the material is placed. As the wax melts, it filters through the holes, separating from residues like brood remains, nails or wood fragments, and collects cleanly at the bottom of the tank. The wax is then drained through the upper 2” outlet valve, while impurities remain in the basket. A raised inner base keeps the basket elevated above the water level, and the lower valve is used to drain the water after the process.

• Up to 20 Dadant Blatt frames

• Up to 15 Layens frames

Unlike electric or steam melters, this model runs completely off-grid — no power or steam generators required. All you need is a standard propane or butane cylinder. Temperature control is manual via the gas flame, and the unit must always be used outdoors or in well-ventilated areas. The hose and flame arrestor are not included and should be added according to safety regulations.
