Optional heating cover for the reinforced 1500 mm uncapping table (ref. W42000). Turns the table into a cappings melter: internal fan + 4 kW element (230 V) with manual thermostat. Melts wax from above; clean honey drains through the table's conical bottom. A middle-ground between a plain uncapping tub and a full Api Melter, at roughly half the cost.
Heating cover, 1500 mm, that fits onto the reinforced uncapping table (ref. W42000) and turns your tub into an uncappings melter. Useful for beekeepers who already own the long table and want to take the next step — separating wax from honey by heat without investing in a full Api Melter. It packs a 4 kW heating element with internal fan and manual thermostat, all on standard 230 V single-phase mains.
The cover sits over the table and works by forced convection. The combination of a 4 kW heating element and internal fan spreads warm air evenly over the cappings without hot spots or cold corners. The manual thermostat lets you set anywhere from wax-melting range (62–65 °C, for separating wax from honey) down to gentle holding temperatures (40–45 °C, to keep honey fluid without touching the wax). 230 V single-phase — no three-phase rewiring or workshop modifications needed.
You fill the table (ref. W42000) with the day's cappings, drop the cover on, set the thermostat and let it work. Wax melts, separates by density and forms a solid layer at the surface as it cools; clean honey settles into the table's conical bottom and drains straight to the ripener through the gate. Typical overnight cycle: start at the end of extraction, come back in the morning to bottlable honey and recoverable wax blocks. Also handy for decrystallising stiff honeys (heather, sunflower) that arrive too thick, or for keeping the tub warm during cold extraction days.
Honestly, it's not the same as a full Api Melter like the DANA Multifunción: that one heats from above (80 °C fan) and from below (40 °C base elements) inside a double-walled insulated body, cutting cycle time and handling 80–100 kg of cappings per batch. This cover only delivers heat from the top. The trade-off is price: if you already own the 1500 mm reinforced table (ref. W42000), this cover gets you to the same applications at roughly half the cost of a DANA. A sensible compromise for semi-pro beekeepers who can't yet justify a dedicated machine — and you can always upgrade to a DANA later.
