LYSON 1,500 mm heating cover for its reinforced Dadant uncapping table: a perforated stainless box with a 4 kW heater at 230 V, internal fan and temperature controller, which rests on the table and turns it into a cappings melter with heat from above. 8 kg. It is the cover for the 1.5 m reinforced LYSON table, which we supply to order: ask us before buying it on its own.

The day’s cappings sit in the tray draining honey all night; with the cover on, in the morning there is honey at the bottom and wax in a block, without moving them to a melter.

01 · HOW IT WORKS

Convection heat from above

The cover spans the whole table: the 4 kW heater warms the air and the internal fan spreads it over the cappings, with no burnt spots or cold corners, and the controller sets the temperature. With heat above the melting point of wax, about 62-65 °C, the wax melts, rises and sets in a layer on cooling; the honey settles to the bottom of the table and leaves by its valve. At a gentle temperature, 40-45 °C, it keeps the tray warm so honey drains on cold days without touching the wax.

02 · WHAT IT IS NOT

A complete cappings melter

It only heats from above: the table has no heater in the base and no insulated double wall, so the cycle is longer and the batch smaller than in a dedicated melter such as the DANA Api Melter (956), which heats from above and below. The advantage is the price and the space: anyone who already has the 1.5 m reinforced table adds the function without another machine in the room. For large volumes of cappings, the dedicated melter.

03 · WHAT IT GOES WITH

The 1,500 mm reinforced LYSON Dadant table

It fits the 1,500 mm reinforced LYSON uncapping table, Dadant format; it is no use on the 1 m universal table (1808) or the Minima tray (2917). We supply the reinforced table to order: if you do not have it, order it with the cover. It runs on 230 V single-phase, no three-phase installation; the 4 kW call for a socket and a line up to it.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

The cover is supplied with its heater, fan and controller; the reinforced table comes separately, to order.

✓ FITS	Anyone uncapping on the 1.5 m reinforced LYSON table who wants to recover the honey and melt the cappings in the same tray, overnight.
