Poplar wood slat, 44 × 3.5 cm and 3 mm thick, thin and highly absorbent. Apicultural consumable.
The poplar slat is a thin, highly absorbent wooden support in everyday use around the apiary. Poplar — a light, porous wood — soaks up the liquid it is wetted with, and its flat format is easy to prepare and handle. A simple consumable to keep within reach in the beekeeper's workshop.
A poplar slat just 3 mm thick with a porous grain that absorbs the liquid you wet it with. Being a very thin board, it is delicate: handle it carefully when wetting and placing it, without forcing it.
⚠️ Legal notice: in Spain and the European Union, varroa treatment and any other veterinary application in the hive may only be carried out with authorised veterinary medicines and in accordance with their technical data sheet. The use of unauthorised products, homemade preparations or "pseudo-medicines" is prohibited under animal-health and veterinary-medicine legislation, and may lead to administrative penalties and, where applicable, criminal liability. This slat is sold solely as a wooden carrier; its use is the buyer's responsibility.
