Disposable cardboard box for transporting up to 30 live queens — from the mating nuc to the apiary, between your own out-apiaries, or as final packaging for shipping queens to other beekeepers by post. The die-cut internal tray holds each cage individually and the ventilation slots on all four sides keep the air refreshed throughout the journey — the critical factor for queens to arrive alive.
All four faces feature die-cut slots that refresh the air inside without exposing the bees to direct draughts. A single queen with her 6-8 attendants uses little oxygen, but 30 cages with two hundred bees in a sealed space build up heat and CO₂ within hours — especially when the box travels in postal sacks under other parcels. The slots prevent that greenhouse effect and dramatically reduce mortality from suffocation in summer shipments or multi-day routes.
The internal tray is die-cut to hold the two industry-standard cage references: NICOT-type cages (the plastic ones with the candy plug) and JZs BZs. Each cage sits in its own slot and stays put — they don't bounce against each other under courier handling or roll over in tight bends, preventing attendants from being crushed against the mesh.
Supplied flat and unassembled, taking up minimum space on the shelf or in transport to the apiary. Assembly is by die-cut tab-and-slot, no staples or tape needed — fold the flaps, slot in the internal tray and it's ready to load in under a minute. The compact 240×136×92 mm format fits standard postal services (Royal Mail, parcel couriers), and being disposable means no return logistics to worry about.
Important: the box ships empty and is sold individually. Queen cages (NICOT, JZs BZs) are loaded separately and not included.
