Getting several caged queens ready for a delivery with the cages loose is the easiest way to lose the count. This box groups up to 10 cages and turns the batch into one package you can count at a glance, label once and move whole. It takes NICOT and JZ's BZ's plastic cages, the two most widespread transport families — and both are in our catalogue if you need to restock. The queens still travel inside their own cage, with their attendants and their candy: the box is the wrapper, not the housing.

02 · IT STORES FLAT

Takes up nothing until the day you need it

It arrives knocked down and folds up in a moment, which in the rearing season is worth more than it sounds: you can keep twenty ready in a drawer without them being in the way, and make them up as orders come in. It is cardboard, so it is not meant to go out and come back — you build it, you ship it, and its job is done.

LIVE MATERIAL TRAVELS INSIDE

The box groups, but it does not regulate ventilation or temperature: keep it out of direct sun, heat, cold and knocks, and prepare the shipment to your carrier's requirements. And there is a part that is paperwork rather than packaging — moving queens is a livestock movement. Permits, documents and vehicle are checked with your competent authority before dispatch, and it is unwise to assume no documentation is needed.

What is sold is the box alone: no cages, no candy, no attendants. If you work with the JZ's BZ's system, note that the catalogue carries another transport box specific to that family — see which suits you before ordering. And a note that is not about the product but saves arguments: record the caging date, the rearing source or batch and whether the queen is marked. That is exactly what you will be asked if one arrives in poor condition.
