Plastic bar with eleven seats that fixes to the bar of the cell-raising frame and receives the NICOT strip of cell cups.

It is the middle link: neither the cup nor the frame, but what holds the series in line.

01 · WHERE IT SITS

Eleven seats between bar and cups

This bar fixes to the wooden bar of the cell-raising frame; the strip of grafting cups goes into its eleven seats in one piece, and the larva goes into each cup. It is the alternative to individual holder blocks: the eleven queen cells end up at the same height and evenly spaced without placing them one by one.

02 · THE 16 MM

The measurement to check first

This is where the build goes wrong. The bar is made for a 16 mm wide wooden bar: if the one on the frame you already own is wider or narrower, it will not seat.

Check it before preparing the series: the fault shows up with the cups already loaded, and grafting does not wait.

03 · SERIES OR CAGE

Eleven cups together, and what follows

On this bar the queen cells sit in a row. If you want to cage each one in a protective roller so they hatch separately, the part that takes the roller is the individual cup holder block, not this bar.

And for royal jelly the bars are different ones, of 33 and 66 cups.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

Sold on its own: no cups, no frame and no larvae.
