The CNE2 cupholder block is the middle piece of the NICOT queen rearing system: it locks onto the CNE1 holder nailed to the frame and in turn houses the CNE3 cup where you transfer the larva. Small but versatile —fitted with the queen cage plug, it doubles as a candy compartment, sparing you separate parts when introducing virgin queens into queenless colonies.
🍯 Durable food-grade plastic
Neutral beige, made from food-grade plastic. Non-porous material with no residual smells the bees might reject. Built for season after season —beekeepers who start out with NICOT are still using the same blocks years later.
🔄 Dual function — queen cup or candy
In its main role it carries the CNE3 cup where the queen cell is raised. But with the queen cage plug fitted, the same block becomes a candy compartment for introducing virgin queens —your rearing frame doubles as an introduction system, no extra parts needed.
🧹 Quick clean between seasons
Non-porous material = uncompromising cleaning. Scrape with a hive tool, hot pressure-wash (60 °C) and, if needed, disinfect with diluted bleach. Ready for the next round of grafting with no propolis or wax residue from last season.
