01 · WHY FORCED VENTILATION

Still air creates corners

A warm chamber with no air movement is not an even one: the top tray runs ahead and the bottom one behind. The Greentech EC fan keeps the air moving so temperature and humidity are the same throughout the cabinet.

You notice it exactly when it matters, with the chamber full. The internal light works the same way: you check without opening more than necessary and without chilling what is inside.

02 · THE 34.5 °C

Brood-nest temperature, no more and no less

Queen incubation runs around 34.5 °C, the temperature a colony holds its brood at. And with enough humidity for the cell not to dry out, which is the other half of the job.

The MINILED ADVANCED controller holds it with twin sensors, digital calibration and two modes: PID when you want fine stability and ON/OFF when you prefer something direct.

03 · HUMIDITY WITHOUT TRAYS

Constant-level tank and ultrasound

This version comes with automatic ultrasonic humidification: a tank that keeps its level and an ultrasonic disc governed by the controller itself. No more topping up trays by eye and no more humidity spikes.

In exchange it asks for one specific care: clean, low-lime water, and a clean tank and disc. An ultrasonic unit with biofilm or scale stops atomising, and it does not always warn you.

04 · WHAT NOBODY WRITES

Do not put every cell inside

A cell at 34.5 °C has no margin: a long power cut or a control failure takes a whole batch in hours. That is why the sensible habit in rearing is to leave some cells in a colony as backup.

And in handling: cells go in already capped, are always carried upright and are never turned over or shaken. A queen pupa forgives neither.

05 · THE SECOND USE

Drying pollen, but with other numbers

The cabinet also serves to dry pollen, with extra trays that are not included. There the parameters are different: pollen is dried below 45 °C, and common practice sits around 40, because above that you lose colour and aroma.

Decide what the machine is for at any given time: it is not something to switch between from one day to the next without cleaning.
