Details of 10 to 8 Plastic Frame spacer

Running 8 frames in a 10-frame super —instead of filling it— lets the bees draw thicker combs: they uncap faster and you handle fewer frames per super.

The catch is the spacing: by eye the frames end up uneven and brace comb appears. This frame spacer sets the 8 frames at an even distance in a single pass.

01 · USE

Thicker combs, faster uncapping

With the super spaced to 8 frames, each comb is drawn thicker and better filled. The uncapping knife or fork goes in cleaner and you move faster in the honey house, and you handle and spin fewer frames per super. Even spacing avoids the gaps where bees build brace comb.

Even spacing in one pass

Just set the frames in the super and run the tool across the top: the notches set the 8 frames at equal spacing, with no guesswork or re-shuffling. Tough plastic, easy to clean. Made for Langstroth and Dadant honey supers (10 to 8 frames); if you'd rather a gentler reduction, there's also a 9-frame version.
