Queen excluder

Placed between deep food chamber and shallow honey suppers. It prevents the queen from entering the honey supers where surplus honeys is stored. But using this can reduce the bee's honey producing ability, so some beekeepers do not use it.

The principle of the excluders is based on the size of the queen's abdomen, which is larger than that of the workers; they can pass through the holes of the separators but not the queen. In addition, the grid is specially spaced to ensure that the queen does not pass through it and manufactured in such a way that they do not harm bees.
