Details of Plastic honey scraper

White plastic honey paddle with a wide fan-shaped blade and a ribbed handle with a hanging hole: the one that collects the honey left clinging to buckets, tubs and settling tanks before you wash them.

It is rigid, and that is what makes it useful: it drags the honey instead of bending, and it does not scratch the steel or plastic of the container the way a metal scraper would.

01 · WHAT IT IS FOR

The last pound in every bucket

When you empty a bucket or a settling tank there is always a layer of honey on the walls and bottom that the gate does not release. With the fan-shaped blade you gather it to one point and carry it to the jar in two or three long strokes, pressing the whole edge against the wall. It does the same for soft wax remains.

02 · HOW TO USE IT

With the blade, never as a lever

Work with runny or warmed honey: if it is hard and crystallised, do not force the handle, because the joint with the blade is where it suffers; for cutting crystallised honey there is the stainless steel honey shovel. Wash it with hot water as soon as you finish and hang it dry by the hole. If the edge cracks or warps, retire it.

03 · BEFORE YOU BUY
