BT03 8 m × 50 mm tie-down strap with a ratchet tensioner and two open hooks for restraining beehives during transport.
Its length reaches widely spaced anchors but does not define strength. Read LC and STF on the unit's label before designing the restraint; always use a stable load and suitable anchors.
01 · PREPARATION
Align the hives on a stable base, close and secure movable parts, and connect each hook to a compatible anchor point. Keep the webbing flat rather than twisted. Where it crosses an edge that could cut or crush it, fit suitable edge protection before taking up the slack.
02 · TENSION AND CHECKS
Take up the slack and operate the ratchet progressively without depressing roofs or hive bodies. Do not knot the strap or extend the handle. Before every use inspect webbing, stitching, ratchet and hooks; remove damaged equipment from service. After the first kilometres, stop safely and check the tension again.
03 · BEFORE YOU BUY
| ✓ SUITABLE WHEN | The 8 m path reaches the anchors and a legible label confirms adequate capacity for the planned load and restraint arrangement. |
| ✕ DO NOT USE WHEN | The label is missing or unreadable, capacity is insufficient, damage is present, or the task is lifting or towing rather than load restraint. |
| ⚠ NOT INCLUDED | Anchor points, edge protectors, anti-slip mats or additional straps. |
