01 · A FULL DRUM WILL NOT FIT IN 300 KG

And that is the sum to do first

The standard bulk honey format is the 300 kg drum, and that figure is product: add the container and you go past 310 or 320 kg. In other words, a full drum exceeds this scale's capacity.

For 25 kg buckets, sacks of pollen, boxes of cappings or part-filled drums it has plenty in hand and is the cheap option. To weigh full drums routinely, the 500 kg model is the one: twice the price, but it does the job.

02 · NO SUDDEN LIFTS

A load spike goes out of tolerance and punishes the instrument

This is a light model — half a kilo of aluminium — and that has a direct consequence: lift slowly and continuously. A jerk with the truck creates an instantaneous peak well above the real weight, and that is what wrecks a hanging scale.

The HOLD function exists for exactly this: it freezes the stable reading while the load is still swinging, instead of making you wait for it to settle. And the 100 % tare lets you deduct the sling or the lifting gear and keep the drum's own weight.

03 · WEIGHING TO SELL IS ANOTHER MATTER

Internal control and trade do not ask the same

To know what is in the store, reconcile a harvest or split batches, any reliable scale will do. But as soon as the weight determines what you charge or what the label declares, the instrument has to be metrologically verified, and that is a different category of device.

Worth being clear about before buying, because it is the difference between a control instrument and a trade one. If the intended use is selling in bulk by the kilo, ask us and we will point you the right way.
