Detalles de Superprotein Pattie 450g (12,5%) Dulcofruct® - (Individual)

When you visit the apiary after an intense honey harvest or several days of heat and poor blooming, you can tell your bees are on the edge… They've raised brood, foraged tirelessly, and worked non-stop. And you, who know them well, understand when it's time to give them a boost. This protein patty isn’t just a supplement — it’s a tool to protect the vitality of the hive when it matters most.

The Super Protein Patty (450g), now in single-unit format, is designed for periods of pollen scarcity, but also for times when the colony has endured major stress: after intense nectar flows, during pollination campaigns, or when forming new nuclei. Thanks to its highly balanced formula, it stimulates brood rearing, strengthens nurse bees, and enhances the immune status of the colony.

With 12.5% crude protein content (well above market average), it provides high-quality nutrition rich in essential amino acids, vitamins, and minerals.

What makes it different? It’s made with soy and yeast-based vegetable protein, carefully selected for digestibility and biological value. Its composition follows the principles of ideal bee feed: plant-based protein, fine particles, balanced pH, and highly palatable texture.

Also:

• 74.3% soluble carbohydrates for quick energy
• Vitamins (A, D3, E, K, B and C) and minerals (Ca, Mg, Zn, Mn, Fe…) to support general health
• Natural essential oils (thyme, lavender, cinnamon, melissa, etc.) with beneficial properties
• Highly accepted even in cool weather or weakened hives

How to use: Place the patty directly on the central brood frames, close to the brood. Be sure to remove the plastic wrap, but DO NOT remove the waxed paper covering, as it allows bees to consume it while protecting it from dehydration and dirt. If not consumed within 2–3 weeks, remove it to prevent moisture issues or wax moth.

When to use it? This supplement is recommended at key moments:

Early spring: to boost population before blooming
During formation of nuclei or new hives: when fewer foragers are available
After heavy harvests or treatments: to aid recovery
In autumn: to help build up protein and fat reserves before winter

The six-week rule: According to best practices, protein supplementation shows full benefits after six weeks. Why? Because it covers two full brood cycles, ensuring that both larvae and nurse bees are nourished. Ending supplementation too early prevents proper development of hypopharyngeal glands, vitellogenin storage, or fat body formation. Best practice: apply one patty every two weeks over six weeks (3 applications), monitoring consumption each visit.

Technical composition: Fructose syrup (26%), dextrose (17%), beet sucrose (32.3%), ApiPollen (23.7%) as protein source (soy + yeast), essential oils (1%), and water <9%. Dry matter ≥91%.

As highlighted in the technical guide by Pajuelo, protein deficiency —whether in quantity or quality— directly impairs digestive, immune, and reproductive capacity of the hive. Poor-quality or monofloral pollen can lead to malnutrition, low royal jelly production, nosema, and larval mortality. High-quality protein supplementation can be the difference between a strong wintering or colony collapse.

Nutritional content: 12.5% crude protein, 74.3% soluble carbohydrates, with high levels of essential amino acids like lysine, leucine, tryptophan, valine, isoleucine, histidine, etc.

Not all colonies will ask for it — but the ones that need it will thank you with strong brood, long-lived bees, and a population ready for what’s ahead.
