Heated twin-chamber tank with 300 litres total in two independent 150-litre vessels, with a steel stand and level sensor, in AISI 304.
750 W hold 300 litres warm. They do not heat them. The sum is simple and worth doing first: 300 litres is about 426 kg of honey, and raising that ten degrees takes on the order of 2.7 kWh. At 750 W that is nearly four hours before counting losses. It is a temperature holder, not a decrystalliser: the honey goes in already warm.
01 · 750 W HOLD, THEY DO NOT HEAT
With that power over that volume, the element is sized to sustain a temperature already reached, making up what the tank loses through its walls. For that it is ample and it works well: it spreads the heat slowly, with no hot spots.
What it does not do is bring a cold, crystallised tank round in a morning. If your honey arrives hard, the heat goes in earlier — in a decrystalliser, a warm room or a heated settling tank — and this tank receives it ready. And if how long it holds matters to you, ask us whether this version is insulated: on an uninsulated tank, 750 W go a good deal less far.
02 · 28-30 °C IS RIGHT
The previous sheet gave 28-30 °C as the bottling temperature, and the figure is correct. There the honey flows and fills without foam, and it stays well below the 40 °C above which the HMF rises and the diastase falls.
Worth saying, because it is the most repeated error in this range: mistaking the thermostat's ceiling for the working temperature. Here there is no room to get it wrong, because 750 W would not stretch to overshooting either.
03 · TWO OF 150, NOT ONE OF 300
The two chambers are independent, 150 litres each — about 213 kg — and that allows two things a single 300-litre vessel does not: filling one while the other empties, without stopping the bottler, or holding two honeys at once without mixing them.
For anyone bottling several honeys who needs to go from one to the next without washing the circuit between batches, the second chamber is the whole argument.
04 · 1½ VALVES AND GRAVITY WORK
Each chamber runs out through a 1½ inch ball valve, that is 40 mm: the bore of the small honey-house line, so it links to bottler and filters with no adapter and without choking the flow on dense honey.
The stand is included and it is not an accessory: it raises the tank to gravity working height over the bottler, which is what saves pumping again. The electronic level sensor cuts the pump at the volume you set, so filling from the tank above looks after itself. Heating is 750 W at single-phase 230 V, and it is all AISI 304 steel.
05 · BEFORE YOU BUY
It holds, it does not decrystallise. And ask about the insulation.
