Details of Immersion Heater Stand (Ø250–480 mm) – LYSON

Stainless steel stand for immersion heaters of Ø 250 to 480 mm: it keeps the coil centred, touching neither wall nor bottom.

It does not heat. It holds, which is another matter. A heater resting against the drum wall or sunk into the sediment at the bottom creates a hot spot exactly where nobody is looking. This stand leaves it hanging in the centre at whatever height you choose, and that is its whole job.

01 · WHAT IT PREVENTS IS THE HOT SPOT

Honey sends the bill for local heat

A heater's thermostat reads the temperature of the appliance, not of the honey around it. Pressed against the steel or buried in the sediment, the coil gives its heat to very little mass, and there the honey easily passes the 40 °C above which HMF rises and diastase falls, both of them parameters in the analysis.

Centred and at mid height, the same heater hands its heat to a much larger volume and convection does the rest. The stand does not spread the heat — the movement of the honey does that — but it puts the source where that movement can happen.

02 · Ø 250-480 AND 130 CM OF HEIGHT

The two measurements that decide whether it suits you

It takes spiral heaters of Ø 250 to 480 mm, the usual bracket for immersion heaters made for drums. If yours falls outside on diameter, the connector will not hold it.

Vertically it reaches about 130 cm depending on the assembly, with a locking knob: it covers everything from a small settling tank to a standard 200 litre drum. That adjustment is what lets you keep the coil above the layer of sediment, which is where you want it.

03 · ASSEMBLY AND DAILY USE

Tubes, a clamp and one safety rule

It comes apart and it is modular: three tubular legs of Ø 15, a vertical tube of Ø 48 and 550 mm with the knob, another of Ø 42 and 750 mm, a horizontal tube of Ø 42 and 400 mm with a clamp, and the technopolymer connector that joins it to the heater without steel against steel.

The rule you do not break: the heater is switched on only when it is completely submerged, and the head and the cable always stay outside the tank. The stand holds the coil so that the cable does not have to. To clean it, hot water and a cloth; nothing aggressive.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

A cheap accessory that protects expensive honey.

✓ FITSSpiral immersion heaters of Ø 250 to 480 mm, in settling tanks and drums up to 200 L.
⚠ HEATER NOT INCLUDEDThis is the stand alone. The heater and its thermostat go separately.
✕ IT IS NOT A DECRYSTALLISERIt neither heats nor regulates: it holds and positions. The heat and the control come from the heater.
