THERMOSTAT SCALE

INTERNAL SIZE

A black polystyrene warming box with heating foil and thermostat, designed to warm honey in its own container. Controlled heat helps dissolve crystals and lower viscosity before filling or transfer without placing an immersion heater directly in the product.

The documented capacity for BR-32650 is two stacked 12.5 kg pails or one 25 kg pail—not two 25 kg pails. Fit also depends on shape: compare all three vessel dimensions, including any lid, handle or tap, with the usable chamber before ordering.

01 · CHECK THE FIT

Kilograms are a guide; dimensions decide

Published internal dimensions are 31.5 × 35.5 × 61 cm; the outside measures 41.5 × 47.5 × 70.5 cm high. Measure the vessel on all three axes in its actual working configuration and allow room to insert and remove it without forcing the foam, lead or heating foil. A short, wide pail and a tall, narrow one may hold the same weight but occupy a different envelope. If the vessel has a tap, include its projection and the orientation it requires inside the chamber.

02 · MONITOR THE HONEY, NOT JUST THE DIAL

The 10–60 °C scale is not a core-temperature reading

The thermostat controls the heating system; it does not replace a separate food-suitable probe in the honey. Begin at the lowest effective setting and monitor actual product temperature together with time, because the box air, vessel wall and centre of the load can respond at different rates. Hotter or longer treatments may increase HMF, reduce enzyme activity and alter sensory properties. The 60 °C mark is the top of the control range, not a recommended honey setpoint.

03 · BUILD A REPEATABLE PROCESS

Load, starting temperature and crystallisation alter the time

No heating time is published for this reference. Record the honey weight, starting temperature, dial setting, probe reading and duration; this creates a repeatable cycle that reaches the required flow with the least useful exposure. If the process allows safe mixing, homogenise and measure again at more than one point. The box provides a warm environment, but it does not by itself guarantee an even temperature or instant liquefaction throughout the load.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

Attend the process and verify the electrical rating before connection

Use the box indoors on a stable, dry surface, away from splashes and flammable materials. Check that the foam, foil, thermostat, cable and plug are undamaged, then verify the rating plate and whether the published 220 V supply suits the local mains. Do not leave the heating cycle unattended or spill honey over electrical parts. Unplug before loading, removing the vessel or cleaning. Decrystallisation does not reverse HMF formation or restore enzyme activity already lost, and honey can naturally crystallise again.

CAPACITYTwo stacked 12.5 kg pails or one 25 kg pail, provided the actual dimensions fit.
CHECKThree vessel axes, lid/handle/tap, electrical plate and honey temperature with your own probe.
NOT DOCUMENTEDTwo 25 kg pails, fixed time, uniformity, probe, timer, IP rating or outdoor use.
