What is it and how does it work?

Made of medium-density felt (1200 gsm) and 8 mm thick, this insulation pad acts as a thermal buffer that reduces temperature fluctuations, prevents condensation inside the hive, and helps maintain a more stable and dry environment.

Unlike reflective or bubble-type insulations, this felt version has a more breathable texture. That makes it especially useful in humid regions or where condensation tends to form under metal covers in winter.

How to use it

• Place it directly on top of the frames or on the feeder
• You can also place it under the inner cover or between the top and an insulation board
• Fits 10-frame Langstroth or Dadant Blatt hives

It is flexible and conforms well to the hive interior. You can easily trim it to fit smaller hives or nucleus boxes.
