Désopro uncaps the comb; Spinfloat separates honey and wax

Désopro uses vibrating blades and adjustable speed to open cappings before extraction. The version and settings must suit your frames; the difference between Dadant and Langstroth cannot be resolved simply by increasing speed.

Spinfloat receives the honey-and-cappings mixture and separates it by density. It belongs to a different stage of the line. A heated twin-auger mixer can prepare and convey the mixture to the separator. Plan these machines as a connected process, including both incoming material and the removal of honey and wax.

Plan the line around your frames and honey house

To size a Désopro–Spinfloat installation, start with actual frame dimensions and the cappings produced during a working day. Allow space for incoming supers, frame removal and cleaning access. When expanding an existing room, identify where work accumulates: faster uncapping can move the bottleneck to cappings handling.

Combi Pro or Buzo Air: fit also affects protection

The Buzo Air is intended for ventilated working, while Combi Pro is another full-suit option. The garment should allow bending and raised arms without pulling the fabric tight, and keep the veil clear of your nose and face. Use the garment’s size chart; your usual everyday clothing size does not describe that working clearance.
