JE108 REFERENCE | HIGH START |
LOW STOP | NO RELAY CONTROL |
Mechanical level switch that automatically controls a compatible honey or syrup pump while a vessel is being emptied.
The float follows the surface: at the high threshold it closes the run command and, at the low threshold, opens it and stops the pump. This reduces manual intervention and can help limit overflow and dry running when the installation, settings and pump are suitable.
01 · COMPATIBILITY
In La Tienda del Apicultor's catalogue this reference is associated with the Chiaramello Monolobi 60 and Monolobi 100 pumps. ICKO also documents JE108 for the Maximel Junior JE1102, Varimel JE120, Maximel 1800 JE110MONO and JE129C vane pump. This does not make it universal: a variable-speed pump may lack the correct input. Compare its model and control version with the manual, then confirm connector, diagram and logic before purchase.
02 · INSTALLATION
Clamp the bracket to the edge of the settling tank, vat or drum. The float must move without touching walls, pipes, lids, agitators, the outlet or hardened residue. Set the height to leave a margin below the rim and keep the pump primed as its manual requires. With the installation isolated from power, move the float by hand and make sure the mechanism does not bind. Do not reposition it while the equipment is running or place hands in the vessel during pumping.
03 · CONNECTION AND FIRST CYCLE
JE108 has no integral relay. The Monolobi manuals show the switch acting on the electronic control terminals or connector in place of the normal operating link; it is not simply inserted between any motor and a wall socket. Isolate and lock off the supply before work begins. If the control panel must be opened, terminals identified or the cable end prepared, a qualified person must connect it to the diagram for the exact pump. Then set direction and speed, prime the circuit as instructed by the pump manufacturer and observe one complete cycle with product: rise, start, fall and stop. Keep the manual stop within reach during this test.
04 · BEFORE YOU BUY
After use, isolate the supply, remove the assembly without pulling the cable and clean every part that contacted honey or syrup under the site's hygiene procedure. Do not pressure-wash or immerse the switch enclosure or cable entry unless the manufacturer expressly permits it. Before each season inspect the float, pivot, bracket, screws, insulation and cable gland; stiff movement or cable damage means the unit must be taken out of service. This accessory does not control speed, provide motor thermal or electrical protection, act as an independent alarm or replace supervision and the pump's safeguards. For other liquids, temperatures or cleaning agents, first obtain the material and contact ratings absent from the live listing.
