Details of Honey pump Monolobi® 100

Monolobi 100 honey transfer pump with a 316L stainless-steel body, 1.5 kW motor and adjustable speed. Chiaramello declares a maximum of 1,800 l/h for this model.

This pump forms part of the honey-house transfer circuit. Selection should take account of the required flow, inlet supply and circuit connections.

01 · PERFORMANCE

One rotor and one scraper

The Monolobi 100 uses a food-grade plastic rotor and scraper. This geometry displaces 0.1 litres per revolution and differs from a pump with two synchronised lobes. Speed control allows pumping to be matched to the process; the manufacturer’s current specification states 40–330 rpm. Maximum capacity is not a throughput guarantee for every honey: batch flow characteristics, chamber supply and hose resistance still matter.

02 · INSTALLATION

Plan inlet, outlet and control

The model has 50 mm ports, with different fittings available according to configuration. Identify the actual fitting before buying hoses or adaptors: diameter, coupling type and seal must match. Reversible rotation allows transfer direction to be changed where the installation permits. Follow the unit’s start-up procedure and keep the chamber properly supplied; the pump family’s commercial name is not enough to determine priming requirements. If the job includes cappings, confirm the application and permitted solid size for the exact version.

03 · MAINTENANCE

Machine limits and honey handling

The 15 bar rating and −10 to 90 °C range are equipment specifications. They do not authorise that pressure in every circuit or heating honey to 90 °C. Size protection around the installed components and the honey-house process. After work, remove honey that could crystallise in the chamber, clean according to the manual and protect the motor and inverter during washing. Disconnect power before opening the pump. Its 45 kg weight makes it worth planning its position and movement between tanks.
